Early 20C Seascape w/ Clipper Ship Signed O/C Painting
Description: Oil on canvas, framed. Signed and dated lower right corner: "C.B. King '02". Dimensions: Canvas: 12 x 15 1/2in. Frame: 17 1/2 x 21in. Weight: 4lbs. 8oz. (Box G) Condition: Surface of the work is dirty and could benefit from a cleaning. Significant, stable craquelure to surface paint throughout. A number of minor areas of staining scattered throughout. Small areas of overpainting are visible when examined under u.v. light. Majority of overpainting is within upper quadrant of canvas and is clearly visible in sky as overpainting has been poorly done in a non-matching shade of green. As a result, the painting could benefit from professional restoration and has been priced accordingly. Otherwise, good condition overall. Artist's Biography:
