Description: This is a beautiful and large cheese dome with plate in the Mascotte pattern. It was made by Ripley & Company of Pittsburgh, PA circa 1874. The pattern was continued by The United States Glass Corp after their merger of 1891. The pattern is also known as Dominion; Etched Fern and Waffle (when etched); and also as Minor Block. This cheese dish is 7" to the top of the dome. The dome is 6-7/8" in diameter and the plate is 8-1/2" in diameter from rim to rim. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks.
