Description:
This is a beautiful flint glass iridescent opal milk glass bowl made circa 1910 by The Imperial Glass Corp of Bellaire, OH. The pattern is known as Imperial No. 700 Colonial and Grapes and is also known as Heavy Grape. It is more well known in carnival glass which was made at the same time and in iridescent glass and is known as Rubygold. The bowl is 2-1/2" tall and 9" in diameter at the scalloped flared rim. The bottom foot ring is 5-1/4" in diameter and the bowl is 2-1/4" deep. The sides of the bowl on the inside are diamond quilted while the outsides are paneled with rounded tops. The grapes and leaves on the inside bottom are in high relief. The glass has a nice clear ring when tapped. There are no chips, flakes or cracks in the beautiful fruit bowl.
