Description: For your consideration, we have for sale a Mardi Gras Glass Biscuit or Cracker Jar with Lid. This jar measures 8 1/4 inches tall by almost 5 inches wide. It is in great condition for their age, but does show some wear. There are no chips or cracks that I can see, but there are light scratches from use. Also, some of the gold is missing on the bottom of the jar. The gold on the lid is almost completely gone. There are a few places where this is a small amount left, such as near the edge and around the handle, but otherwise it is almost all gone. This jar was made by Duncan in the 1890s. It is pattern #42 and feature decoratively cut edges and gold trim as you can see from our photos.
