Description: What a cool thing! Here is a World War II dummy wooden artillery shell made of solid maple. The bottom metal plate is stamped 3" Dummy Cartridge, MK650 Cal., 1943, US with an anchor symbol. The nose of the shell unscrews just like the real ones. Obviously, this was used for staging or practice purposes. The shell is extremely heavy and all original. The finish is in excellent condition. It would make a great floor lamp.
