One of the many books from the Estate of Francis P. Fretwell that we will be selling. The library is the largest privately owned collection of dog books in the world. Mr. Fretwell was the owner of Monfret Kennels, which bred champion standard poodles. He was former president and governor of the Poodle Club of America, and the Italian Greyhound Club of America. He also served as a delegate to the American Kennel Club for decades. A book written to impart in young people the solemn doctrine of justice to animals, and the blessings which accompany the right treatment of them. Covers clean and bright, tips have some minor board exposure, Mr. Fretwell's bp on front flyleaf, inscription on front flyleaf, very nice interior. VG+.
