This is an English Victorian Chest of Drawers. It is made of Mahogany. It is in very good condition. This piece is beautifully made. The Top Edge is carved with an opulent Egg and Dart Carving. Just below the Top are Ring Pulls which draw forward to reveal a beautiful Writing/Work Surface. It is covered in a beautiful Brown Leather with embossed edges. The Dresser has three deep, Drawers. The Graduated Design of the Drawers and the gorgeous Dove Tail Joints which bind them are an indication of a very fine cabinet maker. The Dresser retains it's gorgeous, original Shield Form Back Plates and Bale Pulls. The Corners of the Dresser are canted and carved with a fine Vertical Reeding. The Dresser is supported upon incredibly lovely, scalloping Bracket Feet. If you have been searching for a truly functional Victorian Dresser, this one is superb.
