Collected from the: Dogon peoples of the Bandiagara Cliffs in Mali, West Africa
Material: Solid bronze, old lost wax casting with a heavy concentration of copper to the tin alloy
Estimated Period: 19th century, conservatively
Dimensions: 6.25" outermost diameter, .75" thick; weight is 1.45 pounds
Condition: Exceptional. No structural damage, exquisite signs of age and wear, well patinated knife marks from early ritual offerings with burnished patina indicative of extensive tribal use - stunning!
