Description: Collector Bookstore is a retailer of new books located in Leavenworth, Kansas. We specialize in price guides and reference books for the antiques and collectibles industry.

Table of Contents

This book traces the evolution of oil lighting and places on record details many of the fine lamps which served our forebears so well.

A great many of these lamps survive today, though so much of the knowledge about them has disappeared. Owing to the interest in Victoriana, they now appear in antique shops at prices which would have been considered fantastic a few years ago.

The late Cecil A. Meadows was apprenticed to the iron mongery trade in the 1920s when there was still a demand for oil lamps in rural East Anglia.
