The eyes communicate more than they want and in a moment we are catapulted into a reality of poverty and hunger; his gaze is so piercing that seems to ask observer for a help. In his figure everything calls piety: the curved shoulders, the shine eyes, the torn clothes, the untidy hair and the mouth half-open as if he’d like a silent cry of pain. The large and dense brushstrokes are used in order to emphasize the contrast with the undeniably childish features.
ARTIST: the painting has the artist’s signature: “SALVATORE RODRIQUEZ”; on the back there's a stam attesting its authenticity.
