Description: For sale is a large depression glass cannister jar. c:1930's. Owens-Illinois glass jar with tin lid; shown in the book on depression glass kitchen collectibles. Good condition, but for missing the original paper label down the center, (which most jars are missing since the paper washed off over the years). These were used on the old Hoosier cabinets to store Flour, Sugar, Tea, Coffee, pasta, popcorn, etc. It stands 8 tall x 5.5 wide across bottom and shown in the book on Kitchen Glassware by G. Florence.
