Description: THE ULTIMATE IN FUNCTION AND BEAUTY!!This gorgeous mantel clock is everywhere, and on every chimney an absolutely eye catcher, and a real collector piece that you will never get again.We were lucky to acquire this very rare mantel clock ,that dates 1870, from a lovely private estate in the South of France near Cannes.Perfect running and striking condition with 8 days going work and the 1/1 and 1/2 hours striking on a bronze silvered bell.The movement is cleanded by an official clock maker and is driving on a SILK suspension,is in wonderful condition, run reliably and keep accurate time.The clock is provided with original pendulum and key.On top of the clock is the goddess of war Andraste with a sword and below of the clock a war cherub with a lance.This representation is made of bronze and has a gorgeous brown patina !The black marble is in perfect condition and looks great !!The dimensions are: Height: 21,5 Inches, Width: 16,5 Inches and Depth: 6,5 Inches.The clock is made of the finest black marble and decorated with beautiful bronze gilt ornaments.The original gilding is in superior condition with just the right color and patina.The bronze movement is stamped on the back with: Japy Freres-Medaille d'Or (Gold Medal). Japy Freres was a very famous clockmaker in France at that time. The porcelain dial is signed by : Dubois a Paris and the movement has fantastic handmade brass hands.This clock is the ultimate way to bring some high end style to your decor!Regarding shipping we will pack the clock in a wooden box so you will receive it without damage.
