Description: Superb condition Hina Imperial antique Japanese girl's festival dolls from the Taisho Period. Costumes are silk and in excellent shape considering the age. The Empress holds a fan and her `kamuri` crown is one of the best we have seen. The Emperor`s Ho (hat) is likewise brilliant. Eyes are carved bone, and the `gofun` crushed oyster shell face and limb paints are unblemished. c.1920. (12" wide x 8" depth x 14" height) (31cm wide x 22cm depth x 35cm height).
