Description: Here we have a Dated 1872 European (Germantic?) Hand Carved Pipe. Great relief carving of house or barn, a running horse in front of a brick or stone wall background. Beautiful relief scroll carving on bottom and date 1872 on lower front portion of bowl. Silver or brass plated topcap on bowl-marked 'K L' with spring latched lid. The pipe is in great condition with beautiful color and patina. It measures 4 inches high, 5 1/2 inches widest point and 1 3/4 inches long. It has a couple of chips on the top of the pipe piece and there is no mouth piece. It is a tan to a dark reddish-brown in color. Please click on the photos to enlarge picture.
