Description: A striking mid-century modern armchair by American architect and designer Dan Johnson. A black metal tubular frame supports an upholstered spring cushion seat and backrest. The armrests have wooden pads.

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: Dan Johnson was trained as an architect but was always interested in interior and furniture design. In the late 1950’s, he opened the Dan Johnson Studio to design his unique pieces of furniture. Production runs were low and distribution was limited to the United States. His furniture consequently is extremely rare and highly sought after.
