Collected from the: Dan peoples of the Liberia Ivory Coast border region of West Africa
Material: Carved wood, pigment
Period: Mid 20th century
Dimensions: 16.5" height, 4.25" width, 3" depth; weight is 12.6 ounces
Condition: Exceptional, no damage or repair. From a private Seattle collection, clear signs of age, wear and authentic tribal use, exposed wood presents good patination. Gorgeous dark chocolate patina serves to beautifully accentuate the incised designs and grain patterns on this sublime specimen!
