Condition: Exceptional. From a private Seattle collection, hairline age cracks test stable, exposed wood presents significant patination. Right ear was lost decades ago, as evidenced by the well patinated surface condition of the area. Gorgeous deep chocolate mud soaked patina over earlier wear suggests that this ladle benefited from repeated annual mud soaks given only to the most cherished of pieces. Make special note of the sublime facial expression, surface condition and wear at coiffure, top of head and both sides of ladle - a splendid specimen!
