Description:
Reduce price. This is a striking example of simplicity and beauty all wrapped into one; the glassmakers skill shows in this fine vase example. Delicate cutting at the neck and the hand blown and attached clear glass foot is cut into a starburst pattern. A large bulbous base, with a small opening to hold one elegant stem of whatever pleases you, or to sit on a shelf and admire the light showing through the lovely ruby color. Bulbous base measures 5 inches in diameter X 7.5 inches high. Neck opening is 3/4 inch. Excellent condition. No chips or crack or breaks. Base has some fine scratches from being in loving use over the years. Maker unknown, but lead glass, and obvious high end.
