Description:
This is a beautiful decanter with a long neck. It was cut during the American Brilliant Period of 1876-1900. I put the date around 1890. The decanter is 9-1/2 inches to the top of the stopper (8 inches without) and the bulbos portion is 5-1/2 inches in diameter. The neck is cut in the St. Louis Diamond for the entire length of 5 inches. The bottom portion is cut in Greek Key. The stopper is appropiate, fits weel and is facet cut and numbered (76), but not the same number as on the opening of the decanter (4). The bottom is cut in a rayed star. Above the Greek Key is a monogram of C. A. F. in fancy lettering. Beautiful clear glass and fine cutting. Would make a find addition to any cut glass collection.
