Description:
Gorgeous Crown Staffordshire fine bone porcelain miniature urn in the Pagoda pattern trimmed in gold. Green backstamp first used in 1930 thru 1948. The Crown Staffordshire Porcelain Co. was established in 1833 by Thomas Green and remained in the Green family until 1964. It is now part of the Wedgwood Group. The company originally made earthenware decorated in the Chinese style. This pattern "Pagoda" is a perfect example of the chinese influence. At the turn of the century they were producting a wide range of fine bone china that included dinnerware, tea and coffee sets, and miniatures. This piece is a fine example of that period.
