The top shape is so severe is looks like the sun. The tripod base is equally as exciting with ball & talon feet & as you can see the carving again is very crisp & well defined. The surface patina is very rich & lusterous.Another unique feature that makes this stand even more outrageous is the height which is 41” when the top is up flat & facing you .36 ½” high with the top flat & 16 ½” tripod base. This stand is completely made by hand & probably dates to the early 1900’s .This is my favorite type of country furniture & fresh from an estate here in Rockland Maine !
