Description: The watch world woke up when LeCoultre introduced the "Memovox" alarm watch! It is an alarm watch that was very unusual in its day and is still turning heads today. The watch measures 35m wide by 38 long, and is very attractive case is yellow gold-filled with a screw-down, gold filled back. On exceptional watches we sometimes show the case back so take a look at this one - it really shows how little wear this watch has had! Attention collectors, you won't find a nicer, all original, LeCoultre Memovox. The center section of the original finish dial has the arrow that points to the time that the alarm is set to go off as this fantastic, 17 jewel, piece of Swiss machinery counts off the seconds and hours. There are some minor age marks on the dial center but this is quite acceptable once you see how nice the mellow aging looks on this all original dial. Add to all these wonderful attributes the fact that it is also a great timekeeper and you have a winning combination for you and your heirs. The inner dial rotates when one sets the alarm which is indicated by the small triangle (opposite the 12 o'clock position in the photo). Then when the appointed hour is reached the watch vibrates and sounds the alarm audibly. I have fond memories of my uncle owning one of these watches. My friends and I all gathered around to marvel at a "wrist alarm". We were in awe! Today, of course, when quartz watches, are capable of many more feats of magic, this may seem mundane, but in those times the LeCoultre was a mystical watch. As with many of our timepieces we have only one in this configuration so there will be only one lucky owner to be. LeCoultre's reputation is legendary...don't miss this one!
