Description: This is a rather unique hand crocheted cotton item. The color is the off-white of unbleached cotton. Measuring 10 inches long by 5.5 inches wide, it has a roughly oval shape with a lovely ruffled edge. Crocheted in the center is the word "BREAD," suggesting it served as a liner for a loaf of bread in a basket or on a plate. If your loaf of bread is hot & fresh out of the oven, this doily would prevent the bread from getting soggy on the bottom from the steam. There is a tiny hole (1 stitch) just to the right of the D, and a light, very small spot in the lower left corner near the border.
