Description:
This is a commemorative teacup and saucer made by Alfred Meakin, England in 1937 for the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The cup and saucer also have a drawing of Princess Elizabeth who is now Queen Elizabeth II and her younger sister, the late Princess Margaret Rose. The ironstone cup is 2.75 inches high and the saucer is 5.75 in diameter. The tea cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear and are a wonderfully collectible set from a British royal memorabilia collection I recently acquired.
