Description:
Pretty silverplate teapot made by Cooper Brothers, Sheffield, England.
Tapered, oval form with columnettes at the "corners.", Deep etched leaves and flowers have a vaguely Indian flavor. Carved natural material finial.
No monogram.
Stamped with numbers 4 and 304 C Bros maker's
marks and S EP (as shown). 2 stamped on bottom (as
shown in photo) and
inside lid.
Measures 10 inches handle-to-spout, 5-1/2 tall
Very Good overall condition. There is a ding in the top of the handle (see photo) and very difficult to see small dent on the side of the pot. No other dings, dents or repairs.
Some silver wear around the decoration and some surface
scratches.
Circa 1870s.
