Description: This vintage cigarette lighter with a floral mother of pearl insert on the front is marked; Colibri by Kreisler/Pat.Pend.
In 1914- Kreisler begins doing business as a fine jewelry manufacturer selling to upscale jewelry and department stores throughout the country. In 1932-The great depression hits the jewelry business and the Jacques Kreisler Manufacturing Corp. closes its doors. Then in 1933-Tobias Stern and Jacques Kreisler restart the business of manufacturing watchbands. By 1948-Kreisler expands its product line to include men's and women's jewelry and leather watch straps. It wasn't until 1952-The men's and ladies jewelry line is discontinued and replaced with Colibri by Kreisler lighters.
Silver colored with a rose design it appears to have never used and is in very good condition, it does have some scratches in the metal and it measures 3 3/8 inches tall, 2 3/4 inches wide and 1 inch narrow. A wonderful addition to any Vintage Table Lighter or Colibri Lighter Collection.
