Description: This is an elegant, English Cocktail Cabinet. It is made of Mahogany and has a rich, Mahogany Patina. We purchased it in London, England. It is in very good condition. The design is sleek and contemporary. The Cabinet has a Coved Cornice with a Plain Frieze along the front. There are Two Open Display Shelves at the top of the Cabinet. The facades of the Shelves are Fluted across the front. This Fluting is repeated on all of the Horizontal Rails which flow across the piece. At the center is a Fall Front. It has a spectacular pattern of Flame Mahogany grain and opens to reveal a functionally fitted interior. There are three curving Shelves on the left. On the right is Cocktail Cabinet. It consists of an Open Compartment with a Mirrored Back. A Glass Shelf flows across the center and glass also covers the bottom of the interior. Your Wine and Liquor Glasses can store here beautifully. The Drink Mixing Surface is quite large and functional. It is a mirrored. The Mirror protects it and creates a beautifully reflective quality to the design. Below are Two Drawers over Double Doors. Each has splendid Flame Mahogany facade. A lovely Marquetry Banding frames the perimeter of each. The Banding scallops at the corners creating a sophisticated elegance. The Drawers open to reveal roomy interiors. Opening the Doors reveals a large interior. There is a Shelf flowing across the back. The bottom is tall enough to store a sizable collection of wine and liquor bottles. Cocktail glasses can be stored on the Shelf. The Cocktail Cabinet / Bookcase has a Plinth Base. The Hardware is all original. This includes the gorgeous Rosette Back Plates and Ring Pulls, Lock, and Skeleton Key. This is a very versatile piece. It would make a lovely Buffet in a contemporary dining room.
