Description: This jar is made of lovely cloisonne, a technique of enamelling outlined by copper wires. It has a wonderful yellow ground with fishscale and swirled designs. Centred on the lid and on each side is a lovely floral design in Green, Pink and iron red. The bottom of the jar is enamelled with black panels. For the most part, condition is very good. There is some slight pitting and the loss of about two "fishscales" on the side of the lid (see picture). The interior of the jar is blue enamel. This is a lovely piece of orientalia.
