Description: For sale is a vintage Cliftwood Art Pottery elephant. c:1920-1940, very hard to find item. This elep is heavy w/runny aqua glaze. Identical ones are shown in the Morton book in the Cliftwood section, pg. 109 in white glaze and black glaze, w/same side bags. The book says this was intended as a planter, but there are no drainage holes in the side bags. I think it may have been for matches or business cards. It is 4.5 tall x 6.5 long. The ones shown in the book are the larger size; this glaze is shown in the previous page of the book. He has one small round glaze miss or flake chip off glaze near bottom foot, not visually noticeable unless looking for it.
