Description: Classical Country Style Washstand, Circa 1840. Solid poplar and pine American washstand w gallery. Single drawer w original wood screw type knob. Drawer sides are hand dovetailed. Drawer bottom is hand champhered. Square nails throughout. Lower shelf between ball & baluster turned legs on vase & ball shaped feet. Distressed black color w soft satin finish. Refinished.
