Description: YOU CHOOSE THE FABRIC!!! YOU CHOOSE THE STAIN COLOR!!! for this custom-built piece of furniture. our products are BUILT/SIGNED/& DATED by our craftsman on a workbench ( not on a assembly line in a foreign country!!!) using only traditional upholstery/finishing methods and materials!!! if you are looking for furniture that will last a lifetime,at a fair & honest price, then read on!!! you will NOT find better built furniture anywhere!!!. all of our products start with a solid hardwood frame made from oak, birch, maple, or wormy maple.( wormy maple will be noted in the description ) it is glued and double dowelled with solid hardwood corner blocks. we DO NOT use plywood(or engineered lumber as the manufacturers call it) particle board or mdf. the exposed wood is stained to the color of your choice and depending on the wood and sheen desired, between 6-12 coats of varnish are hand rubbed and sanded between each coat giving you a finish that will last a lifetime. the coil springs are installed in the seat(and back where required) and are 8 way hand-tied. we DO NOT use zig-zag springs in our furniture. the frame is then covered in REAL burlap. the (sterilized/hypo-allergnic) hair pad is hand sewn to the burlap and(depending on the style)several layers of cotton batting is applied and covered in a muslin base fabric. if you ever wondered how antique upholstered furniture held up so long, this is the reason! we DO NOT use foam rubber. the fabric of your choice is then meticulously tailored and pattern matched to fit your piece. the outside arms and backs are covered in REAL burlap and padded with cotton batting. our seat cushions are inner-spring with hair pad, wrapped in cotton batting and covered in a muslin base fabric. the back cushions are down & feather cushions wrapped in a hypo-allergenic down proof ticking. to select from one of our 100s of designer fabrics,trims,or stain colors click on VIEW DEALERS OTHER ITEMS on left of this page. fabric yardage requirements are listed below. please check with us for trim yardage.
