Description:
Gorgeous C.1850 chinoiserie sewing table or cabinet with gilt figures hand painted on legs and knees as well as upper cabinet all sides. Brass key hole no key. Claw feet with chinoiserie on feet,base-plate all in wonderful condition,very minute fading of gilt to right leg,no lose of black anywhere. The sewing compartments are totally intact with all original parts,rose covered pin cushion,many separate compartments two side compartments with lids and ivory pulls. Solid black pull out tray for work surface beneath the top storage area. Top is angled at all four corners with chinoiserie and flat center surface. The entire cabinet in wonderful condition,usually missing gilt and ivory as well as inner compartments. Minor crack not all the way through at top of leg either side many years prior professionally repaired,all structurally sound. Measures 24.5L X 27H X 16D. Many additional photos available.
