Description: This 3-dimensional Ch'ing Dynasty carving depicts a Chinese Mandarin in a courtyard setting, attended by his servants & entertainers. The carving, including the border, is done from a single piece of wood & is finished in traditional Chinese red & gold, which has taken on a mellow patina over the years. It was originally the lower panel in a cabinet door & has been framed for wall hanging. 15.75"H x 9.25"W x 1.75"D plus 1" frame.
