Description: A rare Chinese Warring States Carved Jade Seal, ca. 475-221 B.C. Carved from what appears to be greenish-beige jade. The seal reads Wen Wang Zi Yin, "Imperial Period of Emperor Wang, Emperor Seal". The tall seal was carved with a pointed crown with a triangulated upper body with relief carvings of tao-ti like masks. There are 2 carved looped rings attached to angular ears. The seal base has relief carved dragons and tao-ti masks. The seal exhibits whitish qin inclusions/metamorphosis from tomb burial.
