A very rare terra cotta model of a horse and rider lady dating to the Tang Dynasty circa 1,100+ years ago. Standing four square on a rectangular plinth, the horse has his head slightly turned lowered . The rider's arms are held out at his sides as though holding reins and possibly a wooden weapon, shield or flag, which has long since rotted away and disappeared. Traces of original white, red, black pigments remain.
Buyer may request our items TL (thermoluminescence) tested by Oxford Authentication in England for an additional cost.
