Description:
Feast your eyes on all the fine detail that has been impressed onto this ancient Chinese goddess. The person who wore this adornment was most definitely a purveyor of the bounty of the sea. (Whether it was oysters, fine exotic fish or caviar.. Who can say for certain!.) This lovely, character -laden woman is guaranteed to be very old. The jade at the top of this piece is lovely and just begs to be touched and fondled. The part of the bell that makes the ringing sound is made of gorgeous blue enamel worked into the detail of the hand wrought silver. The jade which is old at the top and is woven on a hand woven hanger. The total length of the piece is 7” ( includes the hanger) and it is completely hand wrought. This is so much nicer in person that I hope it goes to a GREAT home!Vintage and antique items are not mint nor are they perfect.
