Description: Here is the perfect guardian for your home, a handsome Chinese porcelalin Foo or Lion Dog figure perched on a temple stone with his raised foot resting on a ball. This figure signifies the male who takes care of the "outside world" while the female usually takes care of the "inside world." He is an early 20th century piece that has been fitted as a lamp. Of course, our talented lighting restorer has not disturbed the figure but merely showcased him on a stand with a beautiful silk designer shade. All electrical works up to modern safety standards and ready to use; size 29" H of total lamp; in excellent condition with minor gilt wear.
