Description: Rose Famille Chinese Export Cache Pot with double mythical beasts on each side. It is finely decorated with two enamel figural designs separated by blue on blue beasts. One side has a mandarin figure and two other men conversing with ladies in a banana plant garden. The other side is decorated with a group of figures conversing in a prunus plant garden. The bottom center of the pot is glazed with remnants of the original sand imperfections, and it has an unglazed foot (rim). The quality rich painting of enamel figures and plants is in remarkably good condition with only very minor wear to enamel on handles. The interior of the pot is glazed with old original imperfections in the glaze and with an unglazed edge. Marks: None Date: 18th century. Size/Weight: 5-1/4"H x 8-1/4"Diameter; 2.3 lbs. Condition: Excellent with no damage or repairs. Only minor wear from age.
