Description: Circa 1920 Chinese Export Pair of Elephant Candlesticks. Form of Elephant with decorated green turquoise candle stick holders commonly referred to as Jos Stick are of a Nice Polychrome Decoration. These date from the First half of the 20th Century. A pair from this date are usually reasonable like these BUT the ones from the Early 19TH Century are Rare. The earlier ones usually were in the rose medallion pattern. This is a decorative pair. One of the tusks have been broken. Other than that they are in decent condition at a less than decent price. A very decorative item. Pairs of 18TH Century jos sticks sell for about $7500.00.
