DESCRIPTION: CHILDREN EATING THE FRUIT. The work that we show you is a reinterpretation of a work of Murillo, Bartolomé Esteban (1618-1682), Spanish painter who studied with J. Castillo and was subjected to Titian and Van Dyck’s influence. His painting is characterized by an extraordinary virtuosity, however united to secure inspiration in subjects sacred. The artist has reinterpreted the work was well down in the baroque style typical of Murillo’s art, whose features are the movement, grandiosity, the search of scenic, the new sense of values and light taste for decoration.
ARTIST: the work is signed R. Coyati.
PROVENANCE: Neapolitan private collection.
CONDITIONS: the work is in a good state of preservation.
