Description: This child's 3 piece figural breakfast set is so adorable. The plate has red and orange flowers around the rim and in the center are flowers and green stems with a little boy's tennis shoes. A small yellow bee buzzes around the flowers. When the mug that has the little boy's overalls and red plaid shirt is placed in the center of the plate it makes the body of the boy. The bowl has the face of the child with brown hair, freckles and a little smile on his mouth. When the bowl is balanced on top of the mug it completes the figure of the boy. Just inside the bowl are a red and orange flowers matching the plate. The set has no markings but this china set was the early Made In Japan version. Interpur later made a heavery pottery version with a brown border anround all the pieces. They made a similar set with a little girl with pig tails that I have seen. The condition is good with no damage. Their are some light utensils marks on the plate and bowl. The mug has crazing on the surface. Makes a wonderful display piece.
