Description: This is a very old chateline chain pin for a pen,pencil,watch,etc. A chain pulls out and extends to about 15 inches long and then retracts. It has a loop on the end of the chain to hang whatever you wish. The pin is securely on the back with an old c catch. This piece has a lot of pattinae. I have not touched it. I do not know what the metal is. The front of the piece has an eagle with a shield etched on it along with the olive(?)branch at the eagle's feet. There appears to be on slight ding near the bottom of the pin. It is signed on the back, Ketcham McDougall, East Orange, New Jersey. Measures 1 inch in diameter. Perfect working condition.
