Description: Charming French 19th century child’s purse, or porte monnaie in gold metallic thread on blue silk. Shaped like a small canister, the purse features a green silk handle and tassel with glass fob. Beige lining, black check edging. Lovely purse; some shattering to silk and loss to edging; part of the lining is coming away from the body of the bag. Purse body measures 2 1/2” by 2”.
