Description: Beautiful oil on canvas by the well listed Chicago painter Charles Hagberg of a moonlit beach with the waves gently rolling in.This artist who is known for his seascapes exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago in the late 1890's.This painting, being a night scene, would illuminate and sparkle with a picture light on it. The frame measures 30"W by 24"H with the image being 24"W by 18"H. The condition is excellent, with the exception of one old professional 1" square patch and corresponding touch-up to the very top edge 6" from the left side. This is a wonderful example of the artist's well known genre and is housed in the original frame with a St. Louis gallery sticker on verso. A stunner for any collector!
