Description:
GROTTO ANTIQUES' word is her honor, and this chandelier is not antique, but instead a modern, reproduction coming from Belgium. This is the hottest look coming from the Paris Flea Market, Puces de Clignancourt, where my husband has been a dealer for over 25 years. The French adore these delicate lustres. So do we! They come encrusted in 100's of glass pieces, finely strung together, and all supported by a wired cage structure in iron. The woman's face, shown in detail, is typically Art Nouveau, but the form itself is montgolfiere, i.e., hot air ballon shape; that's an 18th century Louis XVI style. All these various styles combined make for a gorgeous lighting fixture that'll work perfectly over a dining room table, entrance foyer, or elegant bedroom. Rewired for American electricity.
