Description: Champleve jardiniere, 7.5" high, 8.75" wide. It has two stylized floral and scrollwork bands, with the top one 1.25" wide, and the main one 3" wide. There are two mask-form ring handles on the shoulder. It has typical enamel losses for this type of ware. (It is similar to cloisonne, but is generally of cruder quality, having the surface carved out for placement of the enamels.) This item could be Chinese or Japanese, and is probably from the early 20th century.
