Description: Additional photos available. A mixture of solid and lattice rattan comprise the exterior of this light gray Heywood Wakefield couch or chaise lounge. In excellent condition as is the deep rose and gray floral brushed cotton padded covering and antique cream background which top the comfortable piece. Probably reupholstered along the way as fabric in excellent condition. The long nap on the cotton gives a suede feel. Edged in corresponding gemp. The rolled head rest and solid frame one of Wakefield's trademarks,combining beauty and comfort. Listed as #6235,couch,in the Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company Classic Wicker Furniture complete 1898-1899 Illustrated Catalog. As the two companies merged bringing with them previous designs at this point,the piece was probably created several years prior to 1898.Measures 68L X 26W X 27H. Wonderful for sunroom,porch or any living area and works well for an extra bed.
