Description: Antique Moroccan silver short sword with exquisite chased decorations in the scabbard, hilt and pommel involving also brass. Chased silver and brass pommel of pentagonal shape. The blade has incised a large star of David within a decorative circle. The blade is double edge and has a single, central blood groove. Very rare!! Size: length: 24.5" (62 cm.). Blade's length: 15.2" (39 cm.). Estimated retail value: $9000. Provenance: Dr. Veleanu's collection, the author of collectors' textbook: "Antique swords and daggers".
