Description: This genuine carnelian necklace has Chimera ( part dragon, snake, fish) all long the edges of the center pendant ( Clasp is hidden underneath that ). Take a good look at how many there are ( they are on all sides of the large setting. The center carved carnelian is of a bird. The total wearable length is 14 1/2” long and the pendant is 1 1/2” across ( marked sterling on the back). The beads graduate up to about 1/2” and are hand knotted. The ring was with this when we got it and it too is sterling ( although I am not sure it is original to it. This is a size 7 and the setting is quite large being a little over 1/2” wide. IT is marked sterling on the inside as well. This is an OLD set and I doubt you will ever see another like it. The medieval metal work on this is awesome! You are getting both the ring and necklace and they are both in very good condition. Truly an heirloom! I have more photos of this is you want to email me to see them.
