Description: "Centenary Calm" is beautiful very large Lithograph by Vereschagin Andrey has large size 40x29in (102x72cm) This colorful Lithograph is on high quality artistic paper Limited Edition 300 s/n. Each has title, the number in edition and the signature of the artist. Creating the world of own images, the artist in own way reinterprets history and creativity of the predecessors. Interest and love to Pieter Bruegel the Elder at Andrey Vereschagin are obvious. With soft humour, without aggression artist composes infinite plots of adventures of colonel Lopez. The hero of narrations hasn't any feel attachment. The dwellings of colonel Lopez is reminded small houses of old kind Antwerp, and Brugge or Amsterdam. Now his house as a balloon is fastened to a tree, now it stands on a wheels, pending a fair wind in full sail that to go to infinity of a universe. Creativity of artist Andrey Vereschagin is on the basic concept of art of a postmodernism. History of colonel Lopez is eternal plot of history of mankind, histories of returning to itself, travel of Odyssey which cannot come back home. Small human figures try to render habitable huge space around. The heap of small houses is reminded of outlines of Babel tower of Pieter Bruegel the Elder. Artist A.Vereshchagin almost all time is in picturesque dialogue with this old master. A discuss about an incommensurability of scale of the person and the Universe, about futility of his efforts before infinity - it is interesting to artist Vereshchaginym. Only this dialogue is like easy and ironic conversation, instead of philosophical sophistication. Artist understands: in advance to create a masterpiece - a way always obviously false. History of colonel Lopez is history of human loneliness. Great Spanish writer Marquez has somehow told, that if the person has boots - it means, he is not so lonely. Following the great writer, Andrey Vereshchaginym was not slow to create the country a boot, slippers, a boot and Diogen, living in a barrel under sails. Here all acquires funny details and creates a cosiness world. Vereshchagin's style is on a joint of illusions and a reality. The cities thought up by the artist live the present life. The colonel is resolute and proud of himself because his house-stronghold is always with him and it is not important where: in the sky, on water or on a land. This very much greater lithograph is looked magnificently!
